MIID Work-in-Progress Day 2
Today I continued work on my typography piece for the Make it in Design Summer School 2015!
There is still a long way to go on this, but I have added colour to the cake, and the chocolate icing. It is meant to look like melting sponge cake and I think I have achieved that. The brief is ‘Soft Pop Bright Retro’, so I chose a retro font – ‘Cooper’ – and pastel colours.
I wanted for my first attempt to try something new, and I have certainly done that by using the 3d tools in Photoshop to this extent. The design still looks like my style, but is something completely new!
I have also started some sketches for repeating patterns, so I will start work on those tomorrow!
